Erasmus+ VET Learners SSELMA Poland

WORK BASED LEARNING

As part of this project participants from Italy received practical vocational training in the field of IT in Kraków, Poland.

All work based learning took place at local start-ups, allowing for hands-on contact with latest ideas and technologies.

The highlight of project was URBICUM, a Krakow high-tech start-up manufacturing industrial grade 3D printers, where one of the participants designed circuit boards, which are now part the 3D printers manufactured by the company.

Given Krakow’s lively IT scene, the participants had plenty of opportunities to make personal connection and gain knowledge that would benefit them in their future professional pursuits.

Szymon – my supervisor – trusted me with a great deal of responsibility & I had an opportunity to learn a lot about IT in general and 3D printers in particular. I enjoyed Krakow and the entire experience.

I loved the building and the environment of Małopolska Park of Technology where I was based. I would have preferred more exciting tasks, though. All in all – a great experience all the same.
