PROJECT BASED LEARNING

This programme was designed to complement the course “Tehnician Activitati Economice” (Economic activities technician) – Business studies in Romania.

Students were involved in working on a variety of practical marketing tasks which enabled them to develop their knowledge of key marketing tools including branding, market research, strategy planning and essential
presentation techniques.

Each student received Participation Certificates from Tellus Education Group and Europass Mobility Certificates. In addition they all passed their final assessment and received the Ascentis (AptEd) ECVET credit for the RWP unit of the qualification “Preparation for working life”.

FUNDING:

FROM PARTICIPANTS ON THEIR EXPERIENCE:

“I discovered maturity through Erasmus +, in Plymouth. They say there is a beginning for everything, and the VET learning experience at Tellus College was an important step forward for us, from a professional and personal point of view. This was one of the most wonderful experiences through which, I…., a simple 18 years old student, have learnt that in life there are so many extraordinary opportunities that we should not let pass by”

MĂDĂLINA GHIȚĂ

FROM PARTICIPANTS ON THEIR EXPERIENCE:

“With great surprise I discovered that I can study and work along just well with different students of other nationalities. Before the mobility, I didn’t know that about me. In spite of the fact that I got lost during the second evening of my stay, during my stay in Plymouth I understood that I actually have the abilities to easily accommodate and integrate and live in a different social environment. And another “strange” thing happened: since the start of my project based learning in Tellus College, I have actually been going to school with pleasure again!”

RAZIM IULIANA

FROM PROMOTERS ON THEIR EXPERIENCE:

Coming from a system full of contradictions and complexity, the perceived ease of the British school has stunned us. In our 3 weeks VET stage, Tellus College succeeded, using role-play, hands-on and student centred methods, to restore their self-confidence that my students lost during the past 11 years they spent in the Romanian educational system. The programme delivered by Tellus to my students managed to make them see themselves in the centre of their own interests, and to react and respond in their own rhythm, according to their training needs and assets. When needed, the negative aspects or the ones needing improvement were expressed with much care and tact, using phrases that assure the student everything has a solution, everything can be corrected or fixed and that mistakes are, in fact, good for learning process.
