From participants on their experience:

“I really enjoyed working there because I learned to cook cuisines from other countries. They were really friendly towards me and they have helped me a lot. I went to seafood festival which I really enjoyed and saw a lot of new dishes.”

From work placement providers:

“My host family are so lovely, they have been wonderful. They take care of everything – it’s been easier than being at home! Kate is amazing and her cooking and lunchboxes are delicious.”

From promoters on their experience:

"The project was about more than simply work-placement and food…..living and working in a different country helped my students to learn important lessons about people and life. They now recognise that whatever our nationality or culture, we’re all the same but different."
