Erasmus+ students spruce up medicinal garden

13th July 2016

A medicinal garden in Plymouth has been given a makeover after five Polish landscaping students began volunteering.

Park Pharmacy Trust at Thorn Park Lodge in Mutley has a huge garden full of plants and herbs used for medicine which needs a lot of regular care.

The group followed the original brief for the area to have a ‘small scale charm’; the whole of the garden is designed so it can be gradually discovered.

Tucked away in the garden are places to sit, including two wheel chair bays. The garden is for the use of the community and special provision for people with disabilities is currently being made to make the unique gardens accessible for all.
